FINDLAY, Ohio – The Tiffin University women's golf team returned to action on Monday at the William Beall Fall Classic hosted by the University of Findlay at the Findlay Country Club. The Dragons teed off early this morning and completed the first 36 holes of the tournament, sitting 14th out of 18 teams heading into Tuesday's final round.
Tiffin posted a 328 in round one and 337 in round two for a 36-hole total of 665 (+89).
Leading the way for the Dragons is Primross Chikwaya who is tied for 22nd with a total of 154 (+10) after rounds of 76 and 78. Chikwaya tallied six birdies on the day, recording four in round one and two in round two while birdieing hole 15 twice.
Louise Hedstrom is tied for 41st with 158 (+14) following an 80 in round one and 78 in round two. Hedstrom birdied on hole 14 in the second round which helped boost the round score.
Madalyn Murphy is tied for 80th with 176 (+32) after recording rounds of 87 and 89 on Monday. Murphy birdied once, which came on hole 16 in the second round.
Karolyna Adams and Nicasia Chase are both tied for 82nd with 178 (+34) and both posted identical rounds of 86 and 92. Adams started the day with a birdie on hole one in round one, her only birdie of the day. Chase recorded par on 12 holes, eight in round one and four in round two.
Peyton Biery is competing as an individual and is tied for 74th with 172 (+28) following rounds of 89 and 83. A birdie on hole nine in round two along with eight pars helped boost her second-round score.
The Dragons will complete the final 18 holes on Tuesday with another 9 a.m. start and will need to finish strong to make a dent in the standings.
Host Findlay sits atop the leaderboard with an eight-stroke lead over second place Grand Valley State.
