Tiffin University men's track and field is sending five athletes to compete in the NCAA Indoor National Championships – Joshua Page, Talel Khalfi, Kevin Hornbeak, Thomas Nelson, and Myles Sams.
Page will compete in both the 200 meter and 400 meter dash. Khalfi will compete in the mile, Hornbeak in the shot put, Nelson in the weight throw, and Sams in the triple jump.
Page punched his ticket in the 200 in 20.86 seconds at the G-MAC Indoor Championships. He solidified his spot in the 400 with a 46.06 second spring at Ashland in early February. That time is currently the fastest in all of NCAA Division II and is 33 seconds faster than the second fastest time from UIndy.
Khalfi's season best mile time of 4:03.68 back in early February at Ashland was enough to qualify.
Hornbeak's season best mark of 17.94 meters (58' 10.25") at Findlay in late February was enough to qualify. Nelson qualified with a mark of 19.37 meters (63' 6.75") and Sams qualified with a mark of 15.21 meters (49' 11").
