Tiffin Universitiy improved its dual match record to 11-3, winning their seventh straight dual by going 4-0 at the Kalahari Duals in Sandusky, Ohio.
Tiffin dominated its opponents, beating Alfred State 43-5, Waynesburg 47-0, John Carroll 38-11, and Mount Union 30-19.
Against Alfred State,
Ciara Riner (131 pounds) got a fall victory in just 14 seconds while
Abigail Miller (138) got a win 10-0.
Tatiana Bermudez (145) and
Tia Leahy (207) also won by falls, while
Sidney Ramos (160) posted a 10-0 win.
Lexis Heidlebaugh (103),
Grace Jones (110),
Madelin Allen (124), and
Erin Martin (180) all got wins by forfeit.
In TU's 47-0 shutout of Waynesburg, Jones got a pin in 44 seconds, while MIller also got a pin in 2:42 and Martin flattened her opponent in 54 seconds. Riner, Bermudez, and Leahy all had 10-0 tech fall victories, and Heidlebaugh,
Leah Pekar (117), Allen, and Ramos all got forfeit wins.
Tiffin won all but two matches against John Carroll. Jones got another pin in 1:19, with Riner (3:31) and Martin (4:41) also getting pins. Ramos won the closest bout of the dual with a 3-1 victory, while Heidlebaugh,
Juliana Alejandro (110), Miller, and Leahy got forfeits.
Against Mount Union, Allen got a win by fall in 1:33 followed by Riner in 1:21. Martin got a quick pin in 31 seconds. Tiffin's other wins came by forfeit, as Alejandro, Jones, and Ramos all got forfeit wins.
