Tiffin University (10-3, 42nd in Division II) posted a big regional upset of 30th-ranked Grand Valley State 4-3.

The Dragons (ranked 6th regionally) got a crucial opening point by winning two of three doubles matches. Carina Avram/Anaelle Lepinay won 6-4 and Shea Foster/Jessica Peace also won 6-4 to secure the point. Emily Barrett/Mathilde Gilles lost a close one 7-5.

Lepinay won the closest singles match of the day, winning 3-6, 6-4, 6-3, while TU got other singles wins from Barrett 6-2, 6-1 and Peace 6-0, 7-5.

Celine Ferron dropped a close one 7-6, 7-5, Avram fell 6-1, 7-6, and Sharanya Shetty fell 6-1, 6-3.
