Tiffin University (7-1) pulled out a 4-3 win over Illinois-Springfield with four strong singles matches.

Tiffin trailed 1-0 after falling in two of the three doubles matches. Neha Mokhasi/Sina Skjelstad easily dispatched Carina Avram/Emily Barrett 6-1, while Piper Schrepferman/Riann Hsu just edged Jessica Peace/Shea Foster 6-4. Tiffin's lone doubles win came from Anaelle Lepinay/Allessandra Maganuco, who beat Franca Bucco/Carmen Llopis Fabra 6-2.

Tiffin's four singles wins came from Emily Barrett over Carmen Llopis Fabra 7-5, 6-2, Anaelle Lepinay in straight sets over Piper Schrepferman 6-1, 6-4, Allessandra Maganuco in a battle over Franca Bucco 7-6 (7-5), 6-2, and finally Jessica Peace in the deciding match over Riann Hsu 6-4, 6-4. Fallin matches for TU were Carina Avram 6-3, 0-6, 6-4 and Sharanya Shetty 7-6 (7-3), 6-1.
