Lakers edge Dragons 5-4

Tiffin University (4-4, 3-4 GLIAC) dropped their fourth straight match, as two missing starters proved just enough of an advantage for Grand Valley State in a 5-4 decision.

The Dragons, missing Anais Geslin and Abbie-Jade Riley from singles competition, came up just short, falling behind 2-1 after doubles play. Adel Musina/Emily Sim and Milah Ryland/Lauren Prince both fell by 8-4 scores, while Geslin/Juliette Sirgant battled to a 9-7 victory.

TU won the top two singles matches, as Musina won 7-6, 6-4 and Sim won a tough battle 7-5, 7-6, while Sirgant also won 6-2, 7-6. The Dragons came up short in the other three singles contests. Prince fell 6-3, 6-1, Ryland lost 6-3, 6-4, and Sarah Herald fell 6-2, 6-1.
