Tiffin University Women's Tennis has seen it all this season from big comebacks, on both sides of the net, to injuries and controversy. Saturday's 6-3 win at home against Hillsdale was no different as the Dragons improved to 4-1 overall and 2-1 in the GLIAC.

The Dragons started off doubles play with an important 8-3 victory at 1st doubles at the hands of Nelhage and Kaye that seemed to set the tone for upcoming matches. TU dropped their second doubles match 3-8 as the duo of Musina and Sim struggled to find their pace against Bell and Matthews of Hillsdale. A 1-1 doubles score came down to the 3rd doubles match that seemed all but over as TU trailed 4-7, 0-40 giving Hillsdale triple set point. It was at this moment TU's pairing of Brozovich and Avram had a decision to make - give up or keep fighting. The Dragons chose the latter. After fending off three match points TU was able to rally together to roll off 5 straight games and take the set 9-7, giving TU a 2-1 lead after doubles.

Singles was a back and forth affair with Tiffin taking 4 of the 6 matches. Nelhage handled business at 1st singles quickly and efficiently with scores of 6-1, 6-2 against Halle Hyman of Hillsdale. Emily Sim continued her hot streak for the Dragons with an effective 6-2, 6-2 victory at 3rd singles over Corinne Prost. The singles match of the day came at 4th singles where Bianca Avram cruised to a 6-1 victory in the first set before meeting some resistance in the 2nd set down 0-3. Avram gathered herself well to charge back to a 7-5 second set win giving her a straight set victory over Dana Grace Buck. TU's final singles victory came at 5th singles where Aimee Kaye saw a difficult first set almost slip away with a 6-4 victory before handily taking the second set 6-2 against Madeline Bissett. TU fell at 3rd and 6th singles by scores of 6-4, 3-6 10-8 and 6-0, 6-3 respectively.

TU now improves to 4-1 on the year and 2-1 in the GLIAC with a tough test against Wayne State at home on Sunday.
