THIS WEEK: Tiffin University will be in Hilo, Hawaii, Nov. 25-27, competing in the Naniloa Volcanoes Resort Thanksgiving Tournament. The Dragons will be taking on Northern New Mexico, Hawaii-Hilo and Fort Lewis. It will be the first meeting with all three schools.
Tiffin is off to a 2-0 start, utilizing both offense and defense. The Dragons are averaging 101.5 points a game and shooting 54.2% from the floor. On defense, Tiffin is averaging 12.5 steals a game and have a rebounding margin of +8.5.
Joe Graessle is continuing where he left off last season. He is averaging 27 points and 6.5 steals a game while shooting 55.9% from the floor and 80% from the line. Khaleal McCormick has been a spark off the bench averaging 16 points. Nick Ellison is averaging 11 points and 10.5 rebounds a game with all but three of his boards coming on the defensive end.
NORTHERN NEW MEXICO - Nov. 25 - 10:00 p.m. EST
The Eagles (4-4) are paced by Matthew Brito offensively. He is averaging 16.5 points and 2.01 three-pointers per game. A.J. Peralta is pulling down 6.88 rebounds a game. NNM has a win over NCAA Division II Western New Mexico.
HAWAII-HILO - Nov. 26 - 12:30 a.m. EST
The Vulcans (2-2) have three players in double figures. Darnell Williams tops the list with 13.75 points and leads the team in assists at three per game. Jamario Clayton is averaging 10.5 points while Brandon Thomas has 10 points and 6.75 rebounds a contest.
#20 FORT LEWIS - Nov. 27 - 10:00 p.m. EST
The Skyhawks (2-0) are using offense and defense just like the Dragons. FLC is averaging 113.5 points and is shooting 54.4% and 48.3% on triples. Defensively, they are out rebounding teams by 18 and are forcing 13 steals a game. Alex Herrera leads the way with 24 points and nine rebounds a game.
