Tiffin University (16-4) came up short in the third place match at the GLIAC Women's Tennis Tournament, as Grand Valley State won the close matches to beat TU 5-2.

Caroline Nelhage/Chelsea Beck got TU off on the right foot, winning 8-6 to remain unbeaten on the season, but Malaika Messi/Valentina Mazzola fell 8-4 and Rachelmary Brozovich/Abigail Schuster also fell 8-3 as TU trailed 2-1 heading to singles play.

Mazzola won her singles match 6-4, 6-3, but Schuster could not take advantage of a match point, falling 1-6, 6-4, 7-6. Beck fell 6-0, 6-1 and Brozovich lost 6-1, 6-0.
