2021-22:

Nicholas went 4-10 with 1 fall, 9 takedowns and 36 points...named NWCA Scholar All American for third time.

2020-21:

Nick went 0-2 overall. He earned the GMAC Elite 23 award for academic excellence. He also earned his second NWCA Academic All American honor.

2019-20:

Nick was a Second Team All GMAC pick, posting a 9-16 record with 22 takedowns and 37 escapes.

2018-19:

Nick went 1-4 overall with 4 takedowns.

Personal:

Nick is from Bellevue, Ohio and is the son of Tom and Vicki Smythe. He has four siblings and intends to major in Accounting and Finance. His father, Tom, played football at Baldwin-Wallace and his brother, Gabe, played football at nearby Heidelberg.

High School:

At Bellevue High School, Nick was a 4x district qualifier and took 7th at state at 152 lbs.
