Joe is from Imlay City, Michigan, and intends to major in Business at Tiffin. He is the son of Jason and Lisa Harper and has one sibling, Alison.

High School:

At Imlay City High School, Joe was seventh at the state tournament as a junior before finishing as the 2020 Michigan State Runner-Up.
