2021-22:
David went 15-9 with 2 falls, 27 takedowns and 96 points...named NWCA Scholar All American for third time...landed his third All-GMAC honor and second First Team mark. He went 4-0 at the GMAC Duals...placed second at Region tourney to earn first-time NCAA Championships berth.
2020-21:
Henson earned Second Team All GMAC honors. He went 4-4 with 8 takedowns and 10 escapes with 2 pins. He also earned his second NWCA Academic All American honor.
2019-20:
Henson earned First Team All GMAC honors, coming up big for the Dragons over and over at the GMAC tourney. He posted three close decisions while also getting a pin. His 5-1 decision over Lake Erie secured the title for the Dragons. He finished the year 22-8 with 35 takedowns, 29 escapes, and 4 pins.
2018-19:
Henson finished 11-7 with 9 takedowns and 21 escapes.
2017-18:
Henson went 7-11 on the year, finishing with 12 escapes and two pins.
2016-17:
David finished 1-6 overall with three takedowns and five escapes.
Personal:
David is a native of Englewood, Ohio and is majoring in Accounting. He is the son of Paul Henson and Kenda Henson, and stepson to Jennifer Henson.
High School:
David graduated from Northmont High School. While attending, he was a 2-time all-area selection, and a state qualifier.
