Maria is a native of Sturgis, Michigan and is majoring in Exercise Science. She is the daughter of Shelly and Matt Ultz. Her greatest academic accomplishment is earning Dean's list recognition.

Maria's most memorable moment is her first college track meet, and getting to travel with the team.
