Tiffin University (11-8, 3-1 G-MAC) got a solid come from behind 3-1 game one victory at Davis & Elkins but could not pull out an extra innings thriller in game two, falling 6-5 in 9 innings.
In the opener Sarah Klein went the distance, pitching 7 innings and allowing just 5 hits.
Tiffin trailed 1-0 after three innings but came back with single runs in the fifth, sixth, and seventh innings to pull out the win.
In the nightcap, Victoria Edwards started and tossed 6.1 innings. Klein came in in the seventh inning and tossed the final 2.2 innings, taking the loss after allowing a one-out bloop single in the bottom of the 9th inning as the Senators pulled out the walkoff win.
The game was a back and forth affair, with TU taking the early 1-0 lead. D&E tied it and then jumped out to a 4-1 lead after three innings.
TU got two runs in the fourth and two more in the fifth to retake the lead 5-4 but the Senators got another run in the sixth to tie it at 5-5. TU had chances in the seventh and eighth innings but could not squeeze a run across.
