Tiffin University's defense continued to shine, posting its third straight shutout to start the season while walking away with a 0-0 double overtime tie at Saginaw Valley State University.
The Dragons (1-0-2) also opened their season with a scoreless tie against Alderson Broaddus, while their lone win this season came against Illinois-Springfield by a 3-0 margin.
The Cardinals led convincingly in the shot department, outshooting TU 24-7 but only putting 7 of those shots on goal. They also had 12 corner kicks to Tiffin's one.
Dylan Morris was strong in goal, making 7 saves in 110 minutes, including a stop with 30 seconds left in the game to preserve the tie.
Tiffin now travels to Northwood for its next regional game on Feb. 15.
