Preston is a native of Sandusky, Ohio and is majoring in Sports Management. He is the son of Beverly Newell and Charles Hancock. His greatest academic accomplishment is being named to the honor roll all four years of high school.

Qualifying for the OHSAA Track & Field Indoor Championships.
