Dylan is from Heath, Ohio, and is majoring in Business Management. He is the son of Jon and Jen Hammond and has one sibling, Kaylynn. 

High School:

At Heath HS, Hammond was All-LCL six times, All-District five times, All-Region four times, and All-State three times. He is also the program's indoor 3200 record holder and 4x8 record holder.
