Vogt wins heptathlon on Thursday at G-MAC Outdoor Championships

Tiffin University women's track and field has some work to do on Friday if they want to bring home the G-MAC Outdoor Championships title. Through the first two days, eight of 21 events have been scored and the Dragons are currently seventh out of 12 teams with 19 points. Hillsdale is currently leading the way with 77.50 points and Ashland is second with 63.50 points.  

Cassidy Vogt is the lone Dragons' outdoor champion so far winning the heptathlon. 

Day one (Wednesday) notable results: 

Onalee Keysor placed fifth in the javelin throw with a mark of 34.70 meters (113' 10"). Cassidy Vogt recorded a personal best mark of 30.96 meters (101' 7") in the javelin throw placing eighth. 

Day two (Thursday) notable results:  

Vogt placed first in the heptathlon to give Tiffin 10 points and C'airra Carter finished fifth in the long jump with a mark of 5.65 meters (18' 6.5").  

Other events taking place on Thursday were the prelims of the running events. 

The third and final day of the Championships begin at 11:30am on Friday.
