Tiffin University women's track and field completed their final tune up before the G-MAC Outdoor Championships. The Dragons competed at Walsh on Thursday and then participated in Ashland's Alumni Open on Friday and Saturday.
Walsh meet highlights:
Tatiyana Cooper-Laylor placed first in the 100 meter dash with a new personal best time of 11.90 seconds. Chelsea Janis finished second in the 200 meter dash recording a new personal best time of 25.36 seconds.
Liana Rodriguez broke her own school record in the 400 meter dash with a time of 54.24 seconds. The time is a new personal best and earned her a first-place finish in the event.
The 4x100 relay team of Tatiyana Cooper-Laylor, Caliyah Wallace, Liana Rodriguez, and Nevaeh Lewis placed first and broke their own school record by 15 seconds, recording a new record time of 45.73 seconds.
The 4x400 relay team of Cassandra Uribe, Caliyah Wallace, Nevaeh Lewis, and Liana Rodriguez broke a 10-year-old school record finishing with a time of 3:41.68, nearly three minutes better than the old record of 3:44.73 set back in 2015.
C'airra Carter placed second in the high jump recording a new personal best of 1.72 meters (5' 7.75"). Moselle Punni finished first in the triple jump recording a mark of 11.48 meters (37' 8").
Ashland meet highlights:
Kaitlyn Gum placed second in the hammer throw recording a new personal best throw of 51.95 meters (170' 5"). Onalee Keysor placed sixth in the javelin with a mark of 33.01 meters (108' 4").
Annie Karshner recorded a new personal best in the hammer throw with a mark of 42.34 meters (138' 11").
