Tiffin University women's golf opened their spring season in Florida, competing in the Emerald Coast Classic hosted by Missouri-St. Louis at the Sandestin Resort & Club in Destin, Fla.  

The Dragons placed tied for eighth out of 18 teams with a 54-round total of 909. Flagler won the team title with 844 followed by West Texas A&M (858) and West Florida (877). Both the individual winner and second-place finisher was from Flagler.  

Tiffin improved in each round, opening with a total of 314 followed by a round two score of 298 and round three score of 297.  

Lisa Marie Schumacher was the top finisher, placing tied for seventh with rounds of 72, 68, and 75 for a total of 215. Laura Goetz finished tied for 40th with rounds of 79, 77, and 73 for 229.  

Primross Chikwaya finished tied for 68th with round of 86, 74, and 76 for a total of 236. Abby Thompson was tied for 74th with rounds of 81, 84, and 73 for 238. Louise Hedstrom placed tied for 79th with rounds of 82, 79, and 80 for a 241 total.
