Tiffin University women's track and field completed day one of the G-MAC Indoor Championships on the campus of Ashland University on Friday afternoon.
As a team, Tiffin is currently sitting in fourth place with 18 points. Ashland is leading the way with 52 points followed by Walsh with 38 and Hillsdale with 31. Full day one results listed below.
5000 meter run:
Audrey Sanzone placed 12th with a time of 18:36.78.
Caitlin Weitzel finished 20th with a time of 19:35.34
60 meter hurdle prelims:
Cassidy Vogt placed eighth to earn a spot in the finals.
400 meter dash prelims:
Liana Rodriguez, Caliyah Wallace, and Cassandra Uribe all earned a spot in the finals. Rodriguez placed second, just four seconds off the top mark.
60 meter dash prelims:
Nevaeh Lewis placed third to earn a spot in the finals.
200 meter dash prelims:
Lewis and Wallace both placed in the top five to qualify for the finals.
4000 distance medley relay:
The squad of Zaynah Tate, Alianna Lewis, Caitlyn Pokorny, and Greta Macadam placed eighth with a time of 12:22.87.
Long jump:
C'airra Carter placed second with a mark of 5.64 meters.
Cassidy Vogt placed 13th with a mark of 5.17 meters.
Kyla Garbe placed 15th with a mark of 5.13 meters.
Deona Davis finished 21st with a mark of 4.88 meters.
Weight throw:
Kaitlyn Gum placed 14th with a mark of 15.79 meters.
Harley West placed 17th with a mark of 14.31 meters.
Pentathlon:
Vogt placed fourth overall.
Garbe placed sixth.
Emily Curtice placed eighth.
Grace Carlson placed 11th.
