Tiffin University had one grappler remaining after day one of the Missouri Valley Open.

Annesley Day (124 pounds) opened with three victories. She beat Texas Wesleyan by fall in 4:22, Sophia Satterfield 10-0, and William Jewell 13-2. Her sole loss came in the quarterfinals to McKendree in a narrow 2-0 decision.

Three other Dragons picked up a pair of victories apiece. Sienna Sanborn (131) got wins over Avila 6-0 and Dru Turner by fall in 42 seconds, Alaysia Coleman (131) beat Morningside 5-2 and Texas Wesleyan 5-3, and Sophia Antonio (138) beat Texas Women's University by fall in 1:14 and Morningside 12-2.

Gennaveve Matt (145) also got a win over Campbellsville 4-1.
