Tiffin senior Lisa Marie Schumacher hung on and won by two strokes as she was named the individual champion at the Midwest Ladies Collegiate. Schumacher fired a final round of 71 for a tournament total of 212. She beat out Findlay's Erin Mulcahy who placed second with a tournament total of 214.
As a team, the Dragons were unable to gain any ground on Ashland and placed fifth out of 16 teams with a two-day, three-round total of 926. Findlay won the team title by shooting 875, 25 strokes better than second place Missouri St. Louis.
Other results for the Dragons include Abby Thompson placing 38th with a round three score of 82 for a total of 238. Laura Goetz placed 44th with a round three score of 85 for a total of 241.
Primross Chikwaya earned a round three score of 79, tying her second-round score and finished tied for 46th with a total of 243. Louise Hedstrom finished tied for 46th as well after posting a third-round score of 78. Jeane Dolle competed as an individual and finished tied for 74th with a tournament total of 256 and round three score of 91.
The Dragons return to the course next week for a two-day tournament at Ohio Dominican. Play begins on Monday, Sept. 16.
