Macadam becomes first-ever TU NCAA National Championship qualifier

Tiffin University's Ines Macadam became the first women's cross country athlete to qualify for the NCAA National Championships with her performance at the 2024 Midwest Regional.

Macadam placed 5th overall in a time of 21:34.84. Macadam, the 2024 outdoor track and field 800 meter national champion, will now compete on the national stage for cross country.

Overall Tiffin finished 16th of 27 teams. Grand Valley State won the race followed by Lewis University and Cedarville.

Greta Macadam was the next highest TU finisher, taking 66th in 23:07.73, while Audrey Sanzone was 96th in 23:39.46.

Other top finishers for TU included Zaynah Tate (24:13.08) in 132nd place and Acadia Tremain (24:15.05) in 133rd place.
