The Tiffin University women's golf team concluded the fall portion of their schedule Tuesday afternoon, competing in the Intercollegiate at Nemacolin in Farmington, Pa.
The Dragons finished fifth out of nine teams with a tournament total of 918. Tiffin opened the tournament with a round one score of 297 and followed it up with a 310 in round two and 311 in round three.
Lisa Marie Schumacher continued her successful fall season by finishing as the runner-up with 213 and 3-under par following equal rounds of 71. Abby Thompson placed tied for 10th with 225 after rounds of 73, 76, and 76. Laura Goetz finished tied for 26th with 240 following rounds of 75, 81, and 84.
Louise Hedstrom had rounds of 78, 82, and 82 for a total of 242. Primross Chikwaya recorded a total of 249 following rounds of 83, 84, and 82.
Findlay won the team title with 872 and the individual winner was Mary Kelly Mulcahy from Findlay with a 208 who finished five strokes better than Schumacher.
Other G-MAC teams competing in the tournament included Ashland, Walsh, and the aforementioned Findlay. Ashland finished seventh and Walsh finished tied for eighth.
