The Tiffin University women's golf team concluded their second to last fall tournament over the weekend at the Panther Invitational, placing 4th out of 13 teams with a 36-hole total of 607.
Lisa Marie Schumacher won the individual title, finishing with a total of 137 with rounds of 67 and 70 while finishing 7-under par for the tournament. With the 137 total, Schumacher breaks her previous 36-hole record of 139 that was set last month at the Ohio Dominican Champions of Women's Golf Classic. The 137 also breaks the school record.
Schumacher finished the tournament seven strokes better than the second-place finisher from Saginaw Valley State.
Louise Hedstrom placed tied for 19th with 155 following rounds of 78 and 77. Abby Thompson finished tied for 23rd with 156 following round scores of 81 and 75. Primross Chikwaya recorded a total of 159 with round scores of 84 and 75. Alexis Zimmer and Jeanne Dolle both competed as individuals and both recorded totals of 172.
Saginaw Valley State won the team title with 591 and host Davenport finished second.
The Dragons end the fall portion of their schedule on Monday, Oct. 21 and Tuesday, Oct. 22 at the Nemacolin Intercollegiate in Farmington, PA.
