Women's track & field tallied 115.5 points en route to a first-place finish at the Wittenberg Steemer Showcase on Saturday.
The Dragons finished 7.5 points ahead of Cedarville University in second place. Ohio Dominican was the only other G-MAC school to compete at the meet, placing 15th overall.
Tiffin found success in the throwing events as
Brittany Devall took first place in the weight throw with a mark of 16.19 meters. She was followed by
Harley West in third place, throwing 15.46m. West also placed second in the shot put with a mark of 12.51m.
The only other second-place finish came in the mile event where
Ines Macadam finished in 5:02.38, just a day after breaking her own school record in the event.
Caliyah Wallace placed third in the 200-meter dash in 26 seconds flat. Following closely behind was
Angela Ejimofor in sixth place with a time of 26.33. Picking up points for the Dragons in the 400-meter was
Liana Rodriguez in third with a time of 58.38 seconds as well as Wallace in fifth 58.50 seconds.
In the 800-meter,
Greta Macadam placed third in 2:18.27 followed closely by
Zaynah Tate in fourth in 2:19.93.
Charlotte Campbell earned a third-place finish as well after posting a 10:03.53 in the 3000-meter event.
The Dragons will split up in one week's time to participate in both the Jud Logan Light Giver Open at Ashland University as well as Notre Dame's Meyo Invitational.
