The Dragons traveled to Kent State University to take part in the Jud Logan Memorial in what was their first meet of 2024.
Tiffin tallied two second-place finishes, the first of which came in the mile event where
Greta Macadam finished in 5:09.84. She was followed by
Charlotte Campbell in seventh place with a time of 5:19.01.
Samantha Smith also earned second place in the pole vault and recorded an NCAA DII Provisional in the process with a mark of 3.75 meters.
Other top five finishes included
Caliyah Wallace in the 400-meter, placing fifth with a time of 1:00.53, as well as
Morgan Foos and
Cassidy Vogt in the high jump, placing fourth and fifth respectively. Foos posted a mark of 1.58m while Vogt recorded 1.53m.
In the weight throw,
Brittany Devall ended in eighth place with a mark of 16.57m while the top finisher in the shot put was
Harley West in 12th with a mark of 12.30m.
Tiffin had two more top-10 finishers in the long and triple jump events as
C'airra Carter placed 10th in the long jump with 5.21m.
Deona Davis finished 10th in the triple jump as well with a mark of 9.75m.
Next up, the Dragons host the Tiffin Open 2 in just one week's time on Saturday, January 20.
