The Dragons hosted their first indoor meet of the year in the Heminger Center, finding most of their success in the field events and mid-distance races.
Tiffin performed well in both shot put and weight throw.
Harley West came in second for shot put (12.70m) and third in the weight throw (15.47m), flipping with
Brittany Devall who was second in the weight throw (16.60m) and third in shot put (12.23m).
Deona Davis took first place in the long jump competition with a mark of 5.08m, followed by
Kamaria Shepard with 4.78m.
Moselle Punni took top marks in the triple jump as well with 10.95m.
Pole vaulting her way to a first-place finish was
Samantha Smith with a mark of 3.70m.
Onalee Keysor placed third with 3.25m.
The Dragons tallied four victories on the track including
Deona Davis winning the 200 meter in 26.89 seconds, followed closely by
Amirah Strauther at 27.02.
Chelsea Janis won the 300-meter with a time of 42.77 seconds and placed second in the 60-meter dash in 8.00 seconds flat. Finally,
Liana Rodriguez took first in the 500-meter race in 1:19.68 while
Zaynah Tate took the 800-meter in 2:28.88.
Emily Curtice competed in the women's pentathlon and came in first place with a total of 3,275 points. She recorded a 9.50 second 60-meter hurdle and finished the 800 meter in 2:36.55. In the three field events, she posted marks of 1.46m in the high jump, 5.22m in the long jump, and 11.94m for shot put.
TU sent a few of its distance runners to the GVSU Holiday Open and found success as
Charlotte Campbell broke the school record in the 5000 meter run with a time of 17:33.64.
Ines Macadam lowered her NCAA Provisional Mark in the mile at 4:55.61 and
Audrey Sanzone (10:53.24) placed third in the 3000 meter run, recording the fastest time in the G-MAC as well.
Tiffin now has a month-long break to prepare for the Jud Logan Memorial hosted by Kent State on January 13th.
