Men's Tennis Takes Care of Lake Superior State

TIFFIN, Ohio - It took into the early hours of the morning, but Tiffin men's tennis was able to defeat Lake Superior State 6-1 in their home opener in the Heminger Center.

With the win, the Dragons improve to 5-3 on the year.

Nikita Parfenov had a great night, pulling out a come-from-behind victory in No. 2 singles 6-7, 6-2, 6-1 after teaming up with Toby Cutting to win No. 1 doubles 6-4.

Cutting also pulled out a singles win, taking the No. 5 pairing 6-4, 6-4.

The doubles point was won after Hugo Chatras and Austin Mohamedali won at No. 3 by a tight 7-6 decision. Chatras also picked up a 6-3, 7-5 win at No. 6 singles.

Sorin Navrotchi (No. 3, 6-2, 6-2) and Tom Arias (No. 4, 6-1, 7-5) earned the other singles victories for TU.

Tiffin will next travel south to Hilton Head, S.C. for Spring Break, opening with Lenoir-Rhyne on Saturday.
