The Tiffin University Men's Tennis team traveled to take on the 36th ranked Ferris State Bulldogs on Sunday, and things didn't go the Dragons way as they fell 8-1.

1st doubles was a match that Cutting/Ludena couldn't seem to get the hang of early and fell behind losing a tough 5-8 victory to Ferris State's Vasil Surduk/Nur Adim Ramdani.

2nd doubles was the team's worst loss of the season as Fernandes/Mangone couldn't seem to get anything going in the match, dropping an 0-8 decision.

3rd doubles was the closest on the day as Kopronica/Lezama were the lone victors on Sunday. The Dragons have had an up and down season, but this is certainly one of the high points in defeating a top ranked team in Steward Sell/Alex Brown 8-6.

1st singles was rough in the early going until Ludena turned it on late. TU's Luis Ludena dropped the first set 0-6 and fought hard in the second set, but dropped a second set tie breaker losing in straight sets 0-6, 6-7.

2nd singles was a tough match for Lezama as he fell in straight sets 1-6, 2-6 to a top ranked player in Till von Winning.

3rd singles saw TU's Mangone jump out ahead early taking the first set in a tie breaker much like he did against Northwood on Friday. The second set was a different story as he fell 2-6 and eventually fell in a third set 10 point tie breaker 5-10.

4th singles saw Cutting also falling in straight sets in a 3-6, 5-7 defeat. Cutting has played great in his first season as a Dragon and competed well in all his matches this spring. Cutting lost on a lone break of serve in the second set which has seemed to be the one downfall of his game this season.

5th singles saw TU's Kopronica fall in straight sets 3-6, 0-6 to Ferris State's Daniil Tarantinov. Kopronica, who was injured on Friday, seems to be recovering well for the Dragons, but ran into a tough opponent in Tarantinov.

6th singles featured the senior captain Victor Fernandes falling by the same score as Kopronica 3-6, 0-6. Fernandes ran out of steam in the second set after putting up a great first set performance, but came up just short.

Ferris State is now 19-4 overall and 9-0 in the GLIAC, and the Dragons fall to 14-12 overall and 6-3 in the GLIAC.
