Tiffin University (18-9) fell in the first round of the GLIAC men's tennis tournament, losing to Ferris State 5-0. The Dragons were the sixth seed entering the tourney while the Bulldogs were seeded third.

TU dropped two close doubles matches to open the night. Luiz Carvalho/Robbie Ball fell 8-5 while Maximillien Waeters/Leonid Vladimirov also fell 8-6. Kyle Johnson/Nicholas Almeida dropped the other doubles match 8-2.

In singles, Carvalho fell 6-1, 6-1 and Brian Coffman fell 6-3, 6-3.

TU will now play the loser of the Wayne State-Michigan Tech match at 3:45 pm Saturday, April 20.
