Tiffin University (4-2, 0-1 GLIAC) got off on the wrong foot in their conference opener, falling to Grand Valley State 8-1.

Robbie Ball picked up the lone victory for TU, winning 6-4, 6-3 in singles play. Brian Coffman also lost a close match 6-4, 7-5. All the singles losses were in straight sets.

In doubles, the matches were much closer, with Coffman/Leonid Vladimirov falling 9-7, Maximillien Waeters/Ball falling 8-6, and Luiz Carvalho/Kyle Johnson losing 8-4.
