TIFFIN, Ohio - The Tiffin University men's and women's track and field teams competed at three different meets Saturday. TU had 14 top 10 finishes and seven additions to the top 10 list.
The Dragons competed at the Kansas Relays (Lawrence, Kan.), Larry Ellis Invitational (Princeton, N.J.) and All-Ohio Championships (Oxford, Ohio).
For the men, at the Kansas Relays, the 1600-meter relay squad of Dominic Colvin, Jacob Buckwalter, Justin Ware and Shaun Borland placed fifth. Their time of 3:15.77 was second fastest in school history.
At the All-Ohio Championships, Zach Cernansky was sixth in the 110m hurdles with a time of 14.92.
For the women, at the Larry Ellis Invitational, Lynzi Daughenbaugh was clocked at 1:02.61. That was the second fastest time in school history.
At the All-Ohio Championships, Katie Gerhardt was the top finisher placing fifth in the discus with a toss of 154 feet, eight inches. The Dragons garnered sixth place finishes from D'Wanda Ford in the long and triple jumps (17 feet, 9.50 inches; 35 feet, 1.75 inches) and the 400m relay team of Ford, Markita Holland, Carlea Harper and Taylor Deskins (48.90).
