KENT, Ohio - Travis LeFlore (high jump) and the 1600-meter relay team hit the NCAA Division II Provisional standard for the Tiffin University men's and women's track and field team at the Kent State Tune-Up, Saturday. The Dragons had 17 top 10 finishes and nine additions to the top 10 list.
Men
LeFlore cleared six feet, 11.50 inches to place second in the high jump. Not only did he have the provisional mark but he broke the school record of six feet, 10.75 inches he set last year. LeFlore's mark is 10th best in the country. In the 1600m relay, Shaun Borland, Dominic Colvin, Justin Ware and Deven Keene placed second with a time of 3:14.77. It was third best in TU history, hit the provisional mark and is among the top 15 in the country.
Andrew Moore placed fifth in the 300m hurdles with a time of 39.76. That broke the school record of 39.88 held by John Greathouse for six years. In the 200m dash, Buckwalter and Tony Marshall tied for second with a time of 22.33.
Women
Kayla Ellks ran 9.18 in the prelims of the 60m hurdles. That was the third fastest time in TU history. Ellks also leaped 17 feet, 5.25 inches to finish fourth in the long jump. Carly Reese ran 5:14.30 to place fifth in the mile. She was just a little over a second off the school record.
