Dragons men's track takes 3rd at GLIAC Indoor Championships

Tiffin University's men's track squad finished third of 10 teams at the GLIAC Indoor Track and Field Championships, totaling 95 points and just missing second-place Ashland, which finished with 100 points. Grand Valley State won the event with 170.5 points.

Tiffin had no individual champions but did post four provisional NCAA qualifying marks. Lee Miller took second in the pole vault with a 4.81 provisional mark, while Travis LeFlore also posted a provisional mark in the high jump, taking second in with a leap of 2.06 meters. Dominic Colvin also took second in the 400 meters with a provisional mark of 48.87. Tiffin's final provisional qualifier on the men's side was John Pemberton in the shot put, where he took fifth with a toss of 16.89 meters.

Tiffin also had three third place finishes, with Darrion Brown placing third in the long jump with 6.83 meters, Zach Cernansky crossing the line in 8.42 in the 60 meter hurdles, and Deven Keene finishing third in the 200 with a time of 22.34.

TU's DMR squad also finished fourth.

On the women's side, TU finished 6th of 10. Grand Valley won the overall meet with 238 points, ahead of Ashland's 138.5.

Tiffin's Ashley Dewitt had the lone provisional qualifier on the day, placing fifth with a throw of 13.82 meters. Kayla Ellks took fourth in two events, the long jump and the triple jump.
