Tiffin's track squad competed at the Grand Valley State Big Meet on Friday and Saturday Feb. 11-12 in an unscored meet. Dominic Colvin was the top finisher for the Dragons, winning the 400 meters in 48.77 while also taking second in the 200 in 22.13.
Travis LeFlore was also a top finisher, taking second in the high jump with a leap of 6-10.75, while the 4x400 team of Deven Keene, Colvin, Justin Ware, and Sylvester Watts also came in second in 3:15.48.
TU also posted two third place finishes on the men's side, with the DMR team of Colvin, Ware, Jeremy Lee, and Watts posting a time of 10:01.03 while Zachary Cernansky also took third in the 60 meter hurdles in 8.43.
Other top placers for the men included Jarrod Thomas (4th in long jump), Ware (4th in the 400), Emmanuel Grembo (4th in the 60), and Lee (5th in the mile).
For the women, top placers were Kayla Ellks (4th in the long jump), the 4x400 squad (4th), and Lynzi Daughenbaugh (5th in the 60 hurdles).
At the Crusader Invite at Capital University on Friday, Feb. 11, Tiffin's James Fielden also had a strong showing, winning the weight throw with a toss of 45-11.25.
