Tiffin University had a solid finish at the Midwest Classic, as their four remaining wrestlers all placed to lead TU to a fifth place mark.

McKendree won the event with a 127.5 points, while Maryville was a distant second with 87. Lindenwood was right behind with 85, while Indianapolis had 82 and Tiffin had 76.

Trey Grine and Hayden Bronne both had third place finishes, while Beau Minnick took fifth and Nick Mason finished in 7th place.

Grine lost by a thin 4-3 sudden victory decision against Lindenwood in the semifinals, then bounced back for a 12-4 win over Northern State and a pin in 3:44 over Marian in the third place match.

Bronne, meanwhile, lost 9-3 in the semis to Central Oklahoma, then won by injury default over Indianapolis and via pin in 4:14 over UNC-Pembroke.

Minnick posted two wins over Central Oklahoma 7-3 and UNC-Pembroke 19-7 before falling to Lake Erie 4-3 in a tiebreaker for his lone loss. He then took third after a medical forfeit by Gannon.

Mason defeated Upper Iowa 4-3, then lost to Central Oklahoma 8-4. He won the 7th place match 16-3 over Augustana.
